How awesome is the Strand?
I have to agree with Drawn & Quarterly on this one, although I’ve never set foot in the Strand Bookstore.

I’ve been to both Strand and Powell’s (Portland, OR). I had a huge crush on Strand when I first discovered them. I still do, and visit almost every time I’m in NYC. Powell’s, however, is a full on head-over-heels, die-for-love romance. It blows Strand out of the water, and the prices are far superb.
If you’re a book lover, it’s a must visit if you’re in Oregon.
