Becco and Merice wanted to make friends with Americans to practice English. They hung out at the clinic just to be around the foreigners and make a few exchanges. It’s amazing the connections we could make with our language barrier; the laughs we would have and smiles we’d share. Funny how a common language often fails to afford as close a connection as with those with whom we cannot converse.
