This morning we lost an amazing family member. Coconut’s been with us for almost 18 years; I’ve known him longer than I have most humans.
Brendon wrote a song in memoriam titled the Coc. I’m on sax. Take a listen.
I pushed some Kentmere 400 to 1600 and am fairly impressed with the result. I expected it to fail miserably and to lose most of the photos (since I couldn’t find documentation on pushing Kentmere and most people recommend against pushing with Rodinal), but things came out with high contrast and clarity. I took the suggestion of increasing developing time by 50% per stop, so this was 15 minutes of developing. Could use a little bit more time next time, but I’m happy with the result. Here’s Roi being a stud.
One of my favorite places in this world, at a time where excitement and apprehension culminate in a rush of emotion.
This is Gary. People often get confused when I explain my relationship with him. He’s known me since before I was born, celebrated every birthday with me (as far as I can remember), is one of the best hosts I know … I could go on. To the best of my knowledge, he and my dad met because they have offices in the same office building. A simple, not-quite eloquent history to his becoming a cross between a friend, uncle, mentor, teacher, and fellow gustatory enthusiast.
